BETSY MACHADO

A lawyer with more than 25 years of experience, Machado oversees Nakasawa Resources’ business development, strategy, and operations in Venezuela as its Legal Consulting Manager. She has extensive experience in project management and business development for companies doing health plan administration and national and international event organizations. At Nakasawa Resources, she has been instrumental in finding key options to help ensure the company’s overall growth for more than 10 uninterrupted years.

She holds a J.D. from the Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela; a master’s in Logistics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid; and a second master’s in Event Organization from the Universidad Europea de Madrid. Thanks to her academic background and experience in various areas of Civil and Commercial Law, as well as in public affairs, Machado has excellent skills in inter-institutional relations, as well as top-tier knowledge of the hydrocarbons market. This allows her to provide benefits to clients, as well as the company.
